I am all over the place trying to figure the latest rankings out. I'm really enjoying On3 and the Massey rankings to help bring some level of objectivity. The on3 page actually has predictive scores on the site for the rest of the schedules which is pretty cool to see.
Anyways, BIG matchup this week with #3 LCA vs #1 Timpview on Tuesday that is bound to have a shakeup potentially.
Layton, Springville, Corner Canyon all had big weeks and made some moves up the rankings overall and in the classifications as well. Along with Herriman after taking down Westlake.
I suspect Orem and Wasatch are ranked a bit too low in 5a upon second look. Easy to fix next week if I'm wrong. Simeon being back for the Tigers is a great sign!
4A is a mess. Everyone just keeps beating everyone with the exception of Provo who is riding a 16 game winning streak after a slow 1-3 start.
If you check out the Massey rankings, there's not a gap larger between 1-2 than Morgan (#35) and Richfield (#57) in any classification. I don't know who is going to stop them from repeating still...
Kanab and ALA is still a toss up at the top of 2a with the slight edge in Massey rankings going to ALA
Rich has won, I think, 10 games in a row now and maintains their lead at the top. I mentioned this in a story as well, but prayers for the Wayne program as their head coach suddenly passed away.
The season is in the home stretch. Everyone enjoy it the most you can!
