2027 early stock risers
The 2027 class in Utah is seeing some exceptional play by some Juniors early on this year. Let’s look at who’s rising up the rankings first:
Colton Hoenigman from Syracuse is off to the hottest start in the class this year (Maxpreps has him listed at 6’2 so looks like an update is in order). The 6’2 Guard opened the season up with a jaw dropping 28 point, 4 reb, and 4 steal game. His scoring was incredibly efficient also as he managed to do it all on only 14 shot attempts.
Logan Brimhall from Lone Peak is a name we haven’t talked about but it’s time to start taking note of this young man’s game! He’s averaging 7 points a game against 2 high level opponents in LCA and PG and will be asked to keep playing an important role in the Knights success going forward
Similar to Logan at Lone Peak, Owen Bagley has found a way to make an early impact on a loaded Bingham team. In his first real Varsity season, the 6’2” guard helped Bingham to an early season upset over American Fork and also poured in 8 points against the top team in the state, Timpview
Finally, are we overlooking Box Elder? Probably so. Ryan Jenson has something to say about it also. The Bees combo guard is ready to build off of his great sophomore year and is averaging 12.5 ppg this season leading Box Elder to a 2-0 start
We’ve also added some new players to the top 50 rankings going into December:
Austin Beihl - 6’3 CG from Cedar Valley averaging 17 ppg after 3
Rocky Rhoades - 6’2 SG from Tabiona and owner of the coolest name in Utah HS Hoops averaging a blistering 27.5 ppg
Ethan Miller - 6’3 SG from Stansbury opened the season giving the Jordan Beatdiggers a calm 23 points
Carter Milbourn - 6’0 PG from Riverton kicks off his season tonight against Cottonwood. Expecting a big year from him this year
Benson Turcsanski - 5’9 PG from Granger is averaging over 20 ppg and has hit 4 3’s in each of Granger’s first 3 games this year
